About Green RN
In 2006 I read a very interesting article published in National Geographic about an experience the writer had about a test he had done to test for the amount of chemicals he had in his body. A test known as the "Body Burden" - the total amount of chemicals circulating in your body at any given moment. This article changed how I thought about what products I bought and even the food I eat.
Scientific research has proven that many products you use in your home to clean, do garden work, paint, etc., are toxic. These toxins (chemicals) have contributed to the rise in illnesses such as asthma, allergies, respiratory problems, and even some cancers through chemical exposure in your home. The amount and duration of exposure will determine the severity of potential illness.
These illnesses are increasing in adults, but more so in children. I suspect however, that chemical exposure may be the catalyst in generating illnesses we can't even explain why they are present in the first place.
Yet with all the talk about Global Warming and focus on energy, environmental solutions - rightfully so, less is being done about the "front line": you, and your home. Chemical toxic exposures affect not only your health and the planet, but affect the health of children and unborn fetuses.
These toxins are the very products sitting under your kitchen sink that you use to clean your house with. And the very same ones that add to air pollution and environmental damage as well.
